Sick Puppies

I've been sickly now for almost a week. I've lost 9lbs! I'll spare you the details, but it was mostly water weight.
Now little Myah is sick too. Poor thing
I couldn't help but take a picture of her though when she's curled up all dear-looking. It's not often my kids hold still long enough to fall asleep!

The TV news has me convinced we're all stricken with salmonella. We eat a LOT of peanut butter. Sometimes that's all we eat, and then we wash our face with it:

Item #1457 In Our File Of Messes Kyle Missed

I'm feeling sick, so I made soup. It only takes about 4 seconds for me to walk over to get a napkin (or some other frivelous thing like that), but that's plenty of time for little Destruct-O to take our soups to the living room and dump them out for some improv tabletop art.

There has been a recent influx of messy pictures. This is not a coincidence, this is my life with these kids. Mom (Bobo) and I were talking about it today- Myah has the brains to figure out new and amazing ways of creating havoc, and Aevyn has the shear brazenness to carry them out. They are a dynamic duo indeed.

Also, I know there have been a lot of Aevy Burger pics lately. We do have 2 children (although lately it has felt like 19 of those little suckers!). In recent Myah news: Myah is sporting a new look...but I won't ruin the surprise. Stay tuned for a photo update.

Except for those hitting boys, it seemed to go OK. She had a hard time sitting still for snacktime, but Myah helped remind her to sit down. She does the same thing at home so I'm not surprised.

Another Griffin Girl Enters the World of Academia

Aevyn will now be attending YMCA preschool on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I will be taking a class on those days, so Aevyn is too!

PAYDAY

Myah's 1st allowance. This is an experiment and so far it's working wonderfully. Myah wanted chores and she wanted money. So now she gets a quarter a week for each chore completed (some everyday and some are just once a week). She was so stoked to have assigned chores that she woke up early and put took all the silverware out of the dishwasher and put it away. What would have been more cool is if the dishes had actually been clean at the time...
I hope the dedication continues after the novelty wears off.

If you are trying to read Myah's list of chores it says
1) Make bed
2) Put away silverware
3) Put away toys
4) Clean windows on door
5) Wipe down doorhandles (with a disinfectant wipe, once a week)
6) Put dishes in sink
7) Put clothes in basket
8) Help fold and put laundry away

There are quite a few things on the list I think she should do for free since they are her things and she made the mess, but I have to give in sometimes. And besides 25cents per job, per week is rather affordable for a housekeeper. If you are following the math it comes to $2 a week.
Aevyn got 2 nickels this week. One for being cute and the other for being nice.
