Garden update

By popular request- a ShayGardens update

This is a pumpkin blossom (I think, it started growing in the compost and then got transplanted into my garden because it just seemed like a good idea)

Here's the whole thing. Note how much I've added. It'll be more impressive when the plants get large enough to see with the naked eye. Trust me, things are growing

and please just ignore how wonderful Joe and Janey's lawn looks and how tragic ours is in comparison. Should all hell break loose someday (yo Mom), you'd be happy to have my pumpkin compost garden to eat from.

A wild baby (on stumps I "planted" for the girls because that too seemed like a good idea. For playing. It's cute ok? You'll have to trust me again on this one)

The howl of the wild baby

Herbs and bird house gourds started in paper cups and some Myah experiments. And Myah's purple octopus (?) watering can

Go Blue Blazers!

Just who are the Blue Blazers? Only the most rip-roaringest Soccer team to ever take Navarre YMCA by storm!

Here;s some pics from Myah's last game. I guess their reputation preceded them, because there was no other team to play against. Cowards. No really, it was a scheduling thing (yeah, ssuuuuuurre......)

The have to start with the warm-up, of course

Since there was no other team to play, they decided to challenge the parents. GAME ON!

Oh boy, Myah gets to kick the ball!

Get 'em kids!

Good game, good game, good game.....

Time for cupcakes and a million pics

A trophy too! This must be the best day ever

Blue Blazers 2008

(Maybe they should have been called the Blonde Blazers? )

Myah's Endorsement

Not that long ago we were listening to the radio in the car. The news was on and Myah was paying attention because she started asking me about what a President. I explained to her about Presidents and elections and voting (the best I could anyways, she's 3 years old.)
I think she got it, because then she told me that she wanted to vote for "Broccoli Bama"
We're really of a McCain family, but whatever. I know how that youth vote hardly ever turns out anyways....

I thought she was sort of over it, and then today she was practicing writing her letters.

Do you see what she wrote?

I swear she did this all on her own. It's just a random apparition, like when people see the image of Mother Mary in their toast.
