Pictures to prove that we really did go to the Bahamas and leave the girls behind for 4 days

We drank some Bahama alcohol. Kalik beer
And the BEST pina colada I've ever had in my life! REAL coconut and a shot of Bailey's...heavens to Betsy, the memory of that pina colada will be cherished forever
Read, in bed, with a sunburn. And no kids jumping on me!
Nassau- the most interesting stop on our trip
Lots of forts to guard against the pirates, arrrgh.
Kyle the Gunner never leaves his work far behind

At last, Kyle meets the strong hand of justice

Our accomodations

So excited that a stranger made the bed and a towel animal for us.
Our cell phones worked the whole time, but kept changing the date back to Oct 1999 (before our cell phones were even made). Kyle is certain it was the Bermuda Triangle

Stirrup Cay, the private island owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines, and our last stop on our cruise. It was either this or a "Fun Day At Sea" that is offered by other cruise lines.

Kyle found a spot with a little breathing room

Anyone got any spaghetti sauce?

To go with our limp noodle?
She has perfected the art of dissolving into a puddle when told to pick up her toys. Its a brilliant tactic because it works so well (don't tell her that though)

Cheap labor

And the rewards of all that affordable work...We still don't like radishes, but they are so easy to grow. They are our ego-building crop, and nothing more. We don't ever eat them. The girls use them to when they make "soup" out of mud and sticks in a bucket under the swingset.

Smarty-Go-Party

Matching up dominoes was just too dull for Myah doodah, as is wearing shirts apparently. She prefers spelling

Early May Garden Update

One of my 2 favorite garden pests.

I had so many tomato sproutlets this year that I felt compelled to make another garden bed out of some old logs. I started way too many seeds because I didn't really have faith in myself that they would grow...well they did! And I didn't have the heart to throw them out. So I HAD to build a new bed.
The red plastic on them supposedly increases their output by 20%. Because obviously I'm going to need all the extra tomatoes I can get.
And look- there's my other favorite garden pest!

Buds on the purple pepper!

The first little baby tomato of the year. Its a mystery as to what it is... My Gardening Gal Pal Anne gave me this as a sproutlet and then we both forgot exactly what this was. Best guess is some sort of roma. Whatever it is, I'm so happy to have it!
