Cheap labor

And the rewards of all that affordable work...We still don't like radishes, but they are so easy to grow. They are our ego-building crop, and nothing more. We don't ever eat them. The girls use them to when they make "soup" out of mud and sticks in a bucket under the swingset.

oh those poor radishes! reminds me of something I heard once, it isn't that you don't like something (to eat) its just you haven't had it prepared in a way you would like.

i like them with salt and lime, like an apple, only spicy! I also liked them sliced thin in tea sandwiches with cream cheese. my mother in law likes them wrapped in a ham roll up with cream cheese. maybe one of those would be better than mud and detritus of swingset.

can't you hear the radishes crying?? LOL
