Another post full of empty promises...

Oh well, such is life...

Being the mom is hard work. Look at these kids. Can't you see that they are maniacs? As if I have time to keep this properly updated. Recent activities have included lots of library-ing and making a peanutbutter/pinecone birdfeeder (and it rained right after we hung it, shucks)

Anyways, enough of my pity party, here's the latest: Myah is a genius (sort of, this is shameless Mommy-bragging). She goes potty by herself, can tell you her phone number and recognizes about half of the letters written down. She dresses herself (note the funky floral pants and long-sleeve striped shirt in the middle of a hot Floridian summer). Colors and shapes are a cinch and she's not even three yet. (By the way, if this is normal 2 year old behavior, don't tell me please). She also knows most of the lyrics to my favorite Dar Williams cd.
Aevyn is also a genius, I'm sure of it. She is walking along furniture and standing on her own. She crawls at a zooming speed. She says "mamamammmmaamaa" and "dadadaaadddaaaa" and "Redddd Ssoxxxxx" (that last one was a flat-out lie). She enjoys nudity, smiling, and Myah's singing. Her dislikes include car seats, converting fractions (har har), and her mom eating dairy.

Aevyn versus the Avocado

Aevyn's 1st solids. She has gone 6.5 months on pure breastmilk, so we thought maybe we'd mix things up a little for her.
She took 2 bites of smooshed avocado (plus a little bop milk). Then she got bored. So we really blew her little baby mind when we dumped out the avocado on her tray and let her play in it. She really loved that.

By the way, here's her 6 month stats. Height: 26", Weight: 15lbs 10oz, Parents: Can't believe their little baby is 6 months already!
